Overview
GenPage + Webhooks makes it possible to create and update personalized GenPages from any tool that can send an HTTP request. Trigger page creation from product events, backend systems, custom scripts, or internal tools, then route the generated page URLs wherever they are needed. This is the most flexible way to power 1:1 experiences across custom workflows.
How it works
Send a webhook payload containing lead or account data to GenPage, map incoming fields to GenPage variables, and generate a personalized page from a template. The returned GenPage URL can then be stored, forwarded, or used to trigger downstream actions such as outreach, alerts, or CRM updates.
Details & Configuration
Who this is for
Sales and SDR teams that want real-time alerts when prospects engage with their GenPage
Founders and growth operators building outbound systems that react automatically when a lead shows interest
Agencies monitoring engagement across multiple client campaigns and routing signals to the right team
RevOps and GTM teams centralizing engagement signals inside their CRM, Slack, or automation tools
Marketing teams triggering follow-ups or nurturing flows based on page visits and interaction events
What this integration enables
Send real-time engagement events from GenPage to your automation stack via webhooks
Trigger workflows when prospects visit, interact with, or return to a GenPage
Notify sales reps immediately when a lead shows buying intent
Update CRM records, lifecycle stages, or activity timelines based on page engagement
Route signals into Slack, Zapier, Make, n8n, or internal systems
Setup steps
1. Choose a webhook destination
First decide where GenPage should send engagement events.
Common webhook destinations include:
Zapier
Make
n8n
Internal APIs
Serverless endpoints
CRM workflow endpoints
The destination must support incoming webhook requests.
2. Create a webhook endpoint
Inside your automation tool or backend system, create a webhook URL that can receive POST requests.
Examples include:
A Zapier Catch Hook
A Make custom webhook
A server endpoint such as
/genpage-eventsAn automation platform webhook trigger
Once created, copy the webhook URL. This will be used in GenPage.
3. Add the webhook in GenPage
In your GenPage workspace, configure a webhook and paste the endpoint URL.
Once the webhook is saved, GenPage will send event payloads to this endpoint whenever the configured activity occurs.
These events allow external tools to react automatically to engagement signals.
4. Test the webhook
Trigger an event by opening or interacting with a GenPage.
Then confirm that your webhook destination receives the request.
Verify that:
The request arrives successfully
The payload includes page and lead information
Your automation platform can read the fields correctly
Most automation tools will display the captured payload so you can map fields in the next step.
5. Build workflows from GenPage events
Once your webhook is receiving events, you can create automations triggered by those signals.
Examples include:
Sending a Slack alert when a lead visits their page
Updating a CRM field when engagement happens
Triggering a follow-up task for the account owner
Moving a deal stage when a prospect shows interest
Sending internal notifications when a high-value account returns
These workflows help your team react instantly to engagement signals.
6. Route signals to your systems of record
Many teams use the webhook to push engagement signals into the tools where their pipeline is managed.
Common destinations include:
HubSpot
Salesforce
Pipedrive
Slack
Airtable
Internal dashboards
Outbound sequencing tools
This ensures engagement data stays connected to the rest of your GTM stack.
Popular workflow recipes
GenPage visit → webhook → Slack alert to SDR
GenPage engagement → webhook → HubSpot activity update
GenPage return visit → webhook → task creation for account owner
GenPage interaction → webhook → move deal stage in Pipedrive
High-intent account activity → webhook → notify RevOps or sales leader
Best practices for high conversion
Send engagement alerts to Slack so reps can follow up quickly
Prioritize workflows for first visits and return visits, which often indicate strong interest
Use webhook filters to trigger alerts only for high-value accounts or segments
Log GenPage engagement events in your CRM timeline for better visibility
Avoid over-alerting your team - focus on signals that indicate real intent
Combine GenPage engagement signals with lead scoring or enrichment data to prioritize outreach
